The Witchetty Bush harbours the infamous Witchetty Grub (see Cossidae sp). The bush is a multi stemmed bush with the stems all originating from the one ground level location. These stems have a smooth bark. The bush can grow to a height of about 3 metres and is generally found in sandy red coloured soils.The leaves of the bush are dull green to grey in colour and make an excellent smoke, which Aboriginal people inhaled as a cure for general sickness.
