Geebung is commonly found in open woodland country, particularly in sandy soils and well drained country. This particular species is a slender straight tree, which can grow up to 5metres tall. The leaves are unusually long and thin, and appear to droop from the tree. The trunk is dark coloured and deeply grooved. The small flowers are yellow to cream in colour. During the months of Nov, Dec, Jan, and Feb small marble-sized fruit are produced. They ripen after they fall to the ground, turning from green to yellowish green.
