The Conkerberry is a low scrubby bush or tree generally only a couple of metres high although there have been reports of some as high as 5 metres. They tend to favour a dry countryside and open Savannah country. The bush is rather prickly and the leaves have rich green colour with tinges of yellow. The leaves are elongated and pointed at the end, a bit like a miniature lance. They produce small white star shaped coloured flowers which have five petals (see above photograph).
