The Bush Banana of course has no relationship to a domestic banana, except perhaps for its shape. This vine tends to favour climbing Acacia trees and bushes in the dryer regions of Australia, however it is distributed throughout the continent. The vines are very common after a fire as a regrowth plant particularly if rain has occurred. It tends to favour the months of Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, and Apr.
