A large and solid tree with rick green oval shaped leaves, which is found in Open Woodland and Close Tropical Woodland areas, particularly around coastal regions. The bark and roots of the tree may be crushed and washed in small waterholes and slow moving streams and used as a fish poison. This action does not affect the flesh of the fish which may be cooked and eaten in the usual manner.
