The Bunya Pine is restricted to just a very few locations in North Queensland apart from the Bunya Mountains in the south east corner of the state. Apart from the natural habitat in rainforest near Mt Carbine, Mt Lewis area, they can also be seen roadside in Malanda and Yungaburra as a result of cultivation.
