Stingrays all have a broad flattened dish shaped body and a long whip like tail, and can grow to 2 metres across the flaps.The eyes are present on the upper surface while the mouth and gills are underneath.They are widely distributed and are present in estuaries, bays, and coral flats, sometimes penetrating into freshwater reaches of rivers. Stingrays are usually bottom-dwellers and often enter quite shallow water and the freshwater reaches of rivers due to their flattened profile . . .
