This is a fairly large tree with a characteristic slightly bottle shaped trunk. The large green leaves are also very clean and multi lobed and roughly resembling an open hand. It tends not to have a particular season but instead produces seed pods at various times during the year. These seed pods eventually dry and then split open to reveal rows of neatly packed seeds. The seeds are embedded in what appears to be a felt like casing.
